On July 20, 2015, the CBC featured an article titled "Canada can't afford complacency on air pollution: CMAJ editorial". The referenced CMAJ editorial calls for Canadian guidelines to be revised to adjust to recently established global guidelines. The Canadian Medical Association is particularly concerned about the impact of air pollution on children and advocates following the lead of the World Health Organization which recently revised its guidelines for acceptable levels of ground-level ozone, nitrogen dioxide and small particulate matter.
