Understanding Indoor Environmental Issues
The average person spends about 90% of his/her time
indoors. Most people do not realize that human
exposure to pollutants in the indoor environment may
be anywhere from 2 to 100 times greater than
exposure in the outdoor environment. Failure to
address problems in time can lead to health issues.

Environmental
Testing

We
test for a wide variety of environmental factors
that can affect your comfort and your health. Some
of these factors include:
General comfort factors such as temperature,
relative humidity, and lighting.

Carbon dioxide which can accumulate if a building
does not have adequate ventilation
Volatile organic compounds (VOCs) which are found in
building materials, synthetic products, cleaners,
and some office equipment
Particulate matter which consists of microscopic
dust particles, organic and inorganic particles,
mould spores, pollen, mites and mite fecal matter,
and other biological particles
Inorganic
contaminants such as lead and asbestos
Moulds which can grow under the moist conditions
Electromagnetic fields (EMF) that can be due to a
large number of electrical devices being used
