Project Environmental Impact Assessments
An Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) is an important tool to evaluate the potential impact of a proposed activity on the surrounding human and natural environment. A well-executed EIA includes an evaluation of reasonable alternatives, an assessment of the potential environmental impacts and an estimation of the significance of the impacts, and the monitoring and management programs that will be implemented.
Our experience in EIAs covers not only best practices in Canada (e.g. Canadian Environmental Assessment Act), but also best practices in accordance with international practices such as those reflected in the World Bank, Asian Development Bank and Espo Convention requirements.
